Store Development Project Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND KEY MEASUREABLES:

Department: Retail Operations

Location: Remote, Los Angeles

Report to: VP of Operations

Number of direct reports: 0-1


POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:

Role Overview: Manage retail store development projects from concept to completion, including new store openings, renovations, and relocations across mall locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead store construction projects, managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships
  • Work with local governments in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico to properly and efficiently open new locations on an agreed upon timeline.
  • Coordinate with landlords, architects, contractors, and internal teams
  • Oversee permit acquisition, construction documentation, and compliance
  • Manage project budgets ranging from $250K to $1M per location
  • Develop and track project schedules using project management software
  • Ensure brand standards and design guidelines are maintained

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of retail construction project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of retail construction, building codes, and ADA requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction management software
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
