POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:

As Logistics Manager – Americas, you will be responsible for the successful management of our continental logistics network – including management of all freight and logistics service providers, across air, sea, and land channels, with a focus on delivery performance into DC and stores, delivery performance to end customers (B2C), delivery of KPI’s, Transit Time improvement and RCODB (Reduced Cost of Doing Business).

The Logistics Manager – Americas will be responsible for:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Management of service providers (Airfreight, Sea freight & Road freight) for the relevant territories
  • Ensure a competitive set of rates and suitable service level agreements are maintained
  • Assist in projects related to our new US DC
  • Supporting Lovisa expansion into new markets in the Americas
  • Develop strategies to identify and manage Logistics related risks
  • Ensure shipment exceptions are promptly identified and resolved both into the US and to stores in other markets
  • Provide clear and informative reporting on carrier performance, lead times and cost to serve
  • KPI reporting and cost projections/forecasts for management
  • Focus and delivery of RCODB as we scale
  • Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents - gather and maintain all data records relative to shipping activities
  • Manage and monitor all shipments, escalating to service providers, management and communicating outcomes to internal stakeholders
  • Ongoing management of customs processes, duty mitigation and compliance
  • Analysis and business cases as required to support initiatives and cost saving opportunities
  • Liaise with warehouse management to ensure that all outgoing shipments are compliant with local regulations/carrier requirements, are correctly packaged and have the correct documentation attached
  • Ongoing management of invoice review/approval process for all carriers and other associated suppliers
  • Deliver key Projects and Initiatives as required. Drive change management to support.
  • Work closely with Internationally based counterparts, share market knowledge and backfill for this position when required
  • Establish a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture for both Lovisa Logistics and 3PL partners
  • Contribute to Strategy development and Planning initiatives for the full logistics team across all regions

ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • 4-year University degree or relevant experience is required
  • 5+ years of experience leading Logistics functions
  • Experience managing outbound air and road shipments
  • Proven experience managing imports into the US.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal). Spanish will be highly regarded.
  • Exposure to import and export processes in Mexico will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of clearly communicating with internal and external parties.
  • Ability to develop, implement and communicate processes.
  • Professional smart casual; Business appropriate.
